Check Sabine County Court Dates

Start with the court named on your notice or case papers. That single detail points you to the right Sabine County office. The Sabine County court calendar lists hearings by court, date, and setting type, and it draws from several places: the monthly district calendar, statewide electronic records, lower-court portals, the clerk offices, and the court coordinators. Each covers a different slice of the system. One caution matters. A posted setting can move, so confirm it with the clerk or coordinator before you appear. Think of the calendar as a map of when and where a matter may be called, not a substitute for the docket inside each case file, which the responsible clerk keeps current.

The Sabine County Court Calendar

Sabine County publishes a monthly District Court calendar as a PDF. The August 2026 research sample lists dates, times, counties, courts, and event labels. Those labels include SABINE CIVIL DAY, SABINE CRIMINAL, 1st Sabine, 273rd Sabine, County Judge, CPS, SART Crisis, Attorney General, visiting-judge activity, and grand-jury impaneling.

The PDF says it is subject to change. It is a schedule, not a complete case register or a guarantee that each matter will be heard. Use it to locate a likely setting, then check the latest docket entry or ask the clerk or coordinator responsible for the court.

Read Sabine County's District Calendar

Open the calendar from the District Clerk page rather than an old saved PDF. One official November link tested stale while the August 2026 file remained live. The clerk page is the safer route to the current publication.

Read across a line and record its date, time, court, county, event type, judge label, and any case identifier. If it is only a broad docket call, contact the office. An omitted party name does not prove that a case is absent.

How to Find Your Court Date

Begin with the notice, citation, pleading, or bond paper that names the court. Sabine County dates are split among district, constitutional county, justice, municipal, and child-protection routes. A search by date alone may land on the wrong docket.

  1. Read the district PDF, CPC selector, or GovRec card for the court involved.
  2. Try re:SearchTX when an electronic filing may contain the setting.
  3. Call the District Clerk, County Clerk, precinct clerk, municipal clerk, or coordinator.
  4. Visit the right counter or send a narrow written request if online access fails.
  5. Confirm date, time, court, county, setting type, and appearance method.

Sabine County Court Calendar Numbers

The 1st and 273rd Judicial District Courts serve Sabine County and other counties. Their schedules can show 1st Sabine and 273rd Sabine within one multi-county system. Lisa Pitre remains the local keeper for district cases filed in Sabine even when the judge or coordinator works from Jasper or Shelby County.

Confirm the county, numbered court, and location before travel. A visiting judge does not move the file to a new clerk. Older local rules may show an older administrative-region label, while the current OCA source places Sabine in the Tenth Administrative Judicial Region.

Reading a Sabine County Court Setting

A setting line tells when a court expects to address a matter. It does not state the outcome. Copy each field exactly, with special care for the court number and event label. GovRec metadata identifies Central Time for lower courts, but the court should confirm any unclear time.

DateThe planned day, subject to a later reset, pass, or removal.
TimeThe docket-call time, which may not be an individual case's exact call.
CourtroomThe location or court assignment; confirm it when only a broad label appears.
JudgeThe assigned or visiting judge, which does not change the record keeper.
Setting typeCivil day, criminal, CPS, County Judge, Attorney General, or another label.

Sabine County Court Calendar Labels

The monthly calendar contains more than civil and criminal calls. Exact labels help a clerk or coordinator locate the right setting. SABINE CIVIL DAY is a setting block. SABINE CRIMINAL is also a call, not a verdict or sentence.

CPS
A child-protection setting whose file can have strict confidentiality limits.
SART Crisis
A specialty label observed in the PDF; ask the coordinator what it covers.
Attorney General
A named setting category rather than all civil work.
Visiting judge
A judge assigned for the event who may be based outside Sabine County.

Use the printed wording when calling. That detail can separate a district question from a county, specialty, or coordinator route.

Resets, Continuances, and Cancellations

A reset or continuance moves a setting. A pass or removal may take it off the published call. None of these events resolves the case by itself. Because the monthly PDF is a snapshot, a later order or clerk entry may control.

Check the latest filed order and confirm with the office that controls the setting. If the calendar and notice conflict, do not guess. Ask the clerk, coordinator, attorney, or party representative which direction is current.

Confirm Sabine County Court Calendar Changes

The newer District Clerk coordinator block names Melissa Stark for the 1st Judicial District Court at 409-384-9570 and districtcourt@co.jasper.tx.us. It names Amber Dubea for the 273rd at 936-598-3201 and amber.dubea@co.shelby.tx.us. An older 273rd page lists different details, so use the newer block and verify by phone.

For a docket sheet or reset order, contact the District Clerk at 409-787-2912, districtclerk@co.sabine.tx.us, P.O. Box 850, or the 201 Main Street counter. County Court settings go through the County Clerk or coordinator. JP and city settings remain with those courts. The Sabine County case search can help identify the file before a call.

Sabine County Child Protection Calendar

Texas Courts Online's Northeast Texas CPC #1 selector is separate from the county PDF. Research observed September 3 and December 3, 2026 in its Sabine selector. Those dates illustrate the fragmented calendar, but they do not make the underlying child-protection files open.

This selector is not a general civil or criminal lookup. Do not copy private party facts or infer them from a date. The court coordinator should confirm access and appearance details.

The state image shows the selector's narrow scope.

What To Do If You Miss a Setting

Contact the court, clerk, coordinator, or your attorney at once. Give the court name, case or citation number, missed date, and current contact details. Ask whether a new date, warrant, bond issue, added violation, or other order has been entered. Only the court can confirm live status.

Missed a setting? A missed date can lead to failure-to-appear action, a warrant, bond consequences, or another order.

Call the court first and ask what was entered and what step the court permits.

Seek advice from a licensed attorney before appearing if the required response is unclear.

Hemphill warns that a missed municipal appearance can add a promise-to-appear violation and warrant consequences. DPS says failure-to-appear or failure-to-pay reports must be resolved with the reporting court, and an update can take several business days. A portal result should never be used to infer current warrant status.

Sabine County Court Calendar Day Checks

County operational notices can override normal hours. Sabine's homepage has posted early-closing and holiday notices, which makes a same-day check wise. Review the official notice and call the responsible office before leaving, especially during weather, holidays, or civic events.

The District Clerk counter at 201 Main Street lists weekday hours of 8:00 a.m. to noon and 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. The County Clerk lists 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Current parking, security, phone, and terminal details were not confirmed. Request ADA, interpreter, or hearing support before the date when needed.
